Tom Brady clashed with Terry Bradshaw on ‘FOX NFL Sunday’ as he defended Jordan Love’s decision to play through a groin injury versus the Detroit Lions.
On Sunday, the Lions secured a crucial 24-14 over the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. Jared Goff completed 18 of 22 passes for 145 yards and a touchdown while David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs combined for 138 yards and a score on the ground.
One key play came when Packers quarterback Love tossed an interception to Kerby Joseph, who scored on the return. Love finished with 273 yards and the pick, failing to throw a touchdown during a difficult day.

Love played through a groin injury to lead the Packers in the NFC North showdown. After the game, the ‘FOX NFL Sunday’ crew discussed the keys to the game – and Bradshaw questioned why Love was playing given his ailment.
“I was a little surprised that Love played in the second half considering his injury,” the Pittsburgh Steelers legend said. “He played OK, but I thought there were times where it looked like he really shouldn’t be on the field.”
Bradshaw then invited Brady to offer his thoughts, and the seven-time Super Bowl champion said: “He was definitely feeling his groin, you could see that on a couple of throws up here from the booth. But there’s an element of toughness that I think you always want to display as a quarterback.

“I would never take myself out – if the coach wanted to take me out during a game like that, you know, OK I’m cool with the coach’s call but I was never going to decide to do that. You always want to be out there for your teammates, and quarterbacks, we don’t have that much ability to show a toughness in a way that so many other positions do.
“The only way we can display consistent toughness is being out there with your team, fighting to the end, so I do appreciate that element. Jordan hopefully takes the bye week to heal up, feel as good as he can for this second stretch of the season that they got coming up.”
Love has now failed to throw a touchdown in consecutive starts as the Packers head into their bye week. Against the Lions, he averaged 7.0 yards per attempt and topped 250 passing yards for the fourth time in seven games, but he did struggle at times.
The pick-six before halftime came on an ill-advised play, while Love later missed a wide open Dontayvion Wicks in the end zone early in the fourth quarter. After the bye, Love will hope to be back to his best when the 6-3 Packers face the 4-4 Chicago Bears at Soldier Field on Sunday, Nov. 17.
