Mike Tyson has made a simple, four-word vow to fans considering tuning in to watch him fight Jake Paul – “You won’t be disappointed”.

The former ‘Baddest Man on the Planet” will take on the 10-1 YouTuber-turned-Boxer in a controversial fight at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Friday (November 15). The fight was initially set to take place earlier this year before being postponed after Tyson suffered an ulcer flare-up on a flight.

Despite the delay, fans intrigued as to how the two will match-up with a 31-year age gap will finally get their answer later this week, live on Netflix. And while not everyone is on board with the idea, Tyson told fans at the end of open workouts in his final message of the day: “Tune in on November 15. You won’t be disappointed.”

Tyson has been training hard for the fight and showcased he still has plenty of power in his gloves during his portion of open workouts. But his choreographed routines of power punches showed little in the way of speed or stamina he is likely to need to beat a much younger man.

Nonetheless, Tyson declared he has learned: “That I’m tougher than I believed I was. Because I actually, when I agreed to this fight, I started training, I said, ‘what the f*** am I thinking of?

“And now I finished the the process, and the fight’s the party. All the hard work is done.”

Paul has plenty of confidence he will add a huge scalp to his record, albeit a man more than three decades older than him. The 27-year old said: “I’m just blessed to be here. So grateful for all the fans that show up, and Dallas is going to be an amazing night on Friday. I’m just having fun, doing my thing. I feel really good. Sharp, powerful, explosive. It’s going to be a short night for Mike.”

“It’s not about how long you’ve been doing something, it’s about how good you do it. On Friday night, people are going to see me outbox the person that’s been doing it their whole life.

“Friday my dream comes true and my career starts. This is the beginning of an amazing journey. What I’ve done so far doesn’t matter – Friday night my career starts.”
