The NFL trade deadline is now upon us, but Kansas City Chiefs could still be set for some of the most impressive moves of the new season.
They have already started the new campaign in impeccable fashion with seven wins from seven games. Despite their most recent victory over the Las Vegas Raiders, there are still some gaps in their current team.
The arrival of DeAndre Hopkins from the Tennessee Titans was swiftly followed by Joshua Uche’s move from the New England Patriots. But with a cornerback and a wide receiver still seemingly on their list, Mirror Sports US has a look at what the Chiefs’ dream trade scenario would look like once time is up.

Marshon Lattimore joining
The Chiefs are not ones for approaching the trade deadline half-heartedly. There would be no bigger impression than swaying one of, if not, the best cornerbacks in the NFL over to the Arrowhead Stadium.
The prospect of Lattimore teaming with Trent McDuffie is enough to make any Chiefs fan salivate and any opposing offensive line quake in their boots. At present, the New Orleans Saints are said to be around $70million (£54m) over next season’s caps and have also lost their last seven matches.
It could be the perfect move at the perfect time for all parties.
Ronald Darby arrives as well

Things have started perfectly for the Chiefs this season. However, with great excitement should come great calm and the addition of an experienced veteran like Darby would provide extra stability and composure.
As well as also filling one of the holes at cornerback left by the injuries of JuJu Smith-Schuster, Rashee Rice and Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown, and the departure of Jaylen Watson, Darby would also be an excellent character to have within the squad.
His solid tackling on the outside and vast experience in playing man coverage would make him a strong fit for the Chiefs.
A ram raid on the Rams
DeAndre Hopkins’ arrival suggests a move for another wide receiver is unlikely. But, if they do choose to bolster their offensive line, they could do a lot worse than making a move for Los Angeles Rams’ wideout Demarcus Robinson.
He has already spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs between 2016 and 2021, and could provide the perfect springboard for Hopkins. The Chiefs have recently been running with the ball a lot more than usual, so the addition of another hulking presence like Robinson on the early snaps makes perfect sense.
Robinson’s deal is also set to expire this season, so the Rams may also be convinced to part with him if an offer is made.
