Jenny Mollen, the wife of actor Jason Biggs, defended herself after getting called out for taking a five-hour flight with head lice and putting other passengers at risk.
Jenny Mollen is setting the record straight.
The City of Likes author, who is married to actor Jason Biggs, responded to a story that she intentionally rode on a five-hour flight while infected with head lice.
“Who would willingly sit w lice on their head for a five hour flight if they knew they had lice before boarding!??!” Mollen wrote on her Instagram Story on Nov. 14. “I guess you didn’t watch the vid because I didn’t know I had lice until I had a head exam later that night!”
In the clip, which Mollen posted to Instagram on Oct. 29, the 45-year-old shared that her friend had checked her head on the flight when she discovered the lice, which she initially thought was an itching caused by “perimenopause symptoms.”
“I have f–king lice and honestly, I think I know where I got it,” she said at the time. “I’m not gonna call that person out, but she knows who she is.”
Mollen, who is mom to sons Sid, 10, and Lazlo, 7, with the American Pie star, added that she was wearing a plastic bag over part of her hair that she acquired from the in-flight headphones she received in an attempt to protect other passengers.
“I’ve never had lice in my life, and I don’t know what to do,” she noted. “I’ve been itching for two weeks. So they’ve been living on me for two weeks.”

On Oct. 30 she shared an update from home, saying her house was “infested with lice.”
“I had an infestation,” she added. “Sid had an infestation. Lazlo had an infestation. Jason had, like, two eggs.”
However, she placed the blame for the length of her infection on the Orange Is the New Black star.
“Let’s just blame my husband for not looking closely enough at my head,” she said. “Because I said to him, ‘Do I have lice? Do you see anything?’ And he said, ‘No.’”
As for her thoughts on being on aboard a plane and potentially infecting other passengers, Mollen said, “The airplane seat, that’s a bummer for whoever sits there next. I want to be clear, I didn’t know that I had lice until I was on the airplane.”
