Breaking News: Yankee Fans Explode Over Juan Soto’s Mets Signing in Viral Rants.Cau

New York Yankees fans sent several expletive-laden messages to Juan Soto after his blockbuster decision to shun a Bronx return in favor of joining the New York Mets.

On Sunday night, the MLB world came to a halt as Soto reportedly agreed a 15-year deal worth $765 million to join the Mets in free agency. The Dominican superstar, who met with the Toronto Blue Jays, Boston Red Sox, and World Series champion LA Dodgers as well as the Yankees, has inked one of the richest contracts in sports history.

The deal allegedly offers Soto an opt-out option after five years while there are incentives that could take the contracts value to over $800 million. The Yankees had been willing to offer the 26-year-old outfielder a contract worth $760 million over 16 years, but they were ultimately outbid by the Mets.

The reported agreement would be the largest and longest in MLB history, topping Shohei Ohtani’s $700m, 10-year contract with the Dodgers which was signed last December. Soto has established himself as one of the best hitters in the sport and Mets fans will be desperate to see him suit up and perform for the franchise after their dramatic run to the NLCS.

However, Yankee fans did not take kindly to the news. Many took to social media to vent their fury toward Soto and the Mets, while others filmed videos burning his No. 22 Yankees jersey.

One fan, who held a bat throughout the video before throwing it at a wall at the end of his rant, angrily posted a video to social media with a message to Soto. He said: Hey, Juan Soto. I got two words for you: —- you! Thats right. —- you, and the horse you rode in on, and the cavalry behind you. Thats right, mother——. Yeah, Im taking it personal.

We gave you our love. We gave you our —-ing heart and soul. It wasnt enough. You turned your cap around in the World Series – I saw that —-ing move. 700 million, 730 – yeah, it wasnt enough. It wasnt enough. Guaranteed years, it wasnt enough. You dont even choose the Dodgers. You dont even choose the Dodgers!

Another fan stood outside Citi Field and lamented Sotos decision. In the video showing Citi Field and its surrounding area, the fan said: Yo Juan Soto, listen up man. This is your new —-ing home. This is your new home right here! Shut the —- up and dont —-ing complain.

Look at this —-hole. Look at this —-ing —-hole. Right across the street, look at this —-ing dump. Road —-ing closed. You chose this piece of —- to be your home for the next 15 —-ing years because youre a money-hungry —-ing —–! —- you! —- you!

Every Yankee fan should burn your —-ing jersey. —- you, Juan Soto. Suck my —-ing d—! —- you too, Scott Morris. Suck my —-ing —-.

Back in 2022, Soto – a five-time Silver Slugger – turned down a 15-year, $440 million offer from the Washington Nationals before he was traded to the San Diego Padres. The Yankees then traded for him in December 2023, despite knowing he was set to be a free agent.

Even for a one-year rental, Soto was a phenomenon. In his first year in the Bronx, Soto finished the regular season batting .288 (9th in the AL)/.419(2nd)/.569(3rd) with a career-high 41 home runs (3rd) and 109 RBIs (4th). He was also second in MLB in walks with 129 as the Yankees reached the World Series for the first time since 2009 while Soto was an AL MVP finalist.

Now, he joins the cross-city Mets, who enjoyed a Cinderella run to the NLCS before falling to the Dodgers.
