Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce admitted that the prospect of watching Taylor Swift’s favorite Christmas film would be “torture” as he refused to review the blockbuster on his podcast.
The NFL tight end’s romance with his chart-topping girlfriend appears to be going from strength to strength, with the pair reportedly planning on spending the holidays together. That is according to Us Weekly, who have claimed that Swift will host both families over Christmas – as she did at Thanksgiving.
Kelce is due to take to the field on Dec. 25, with the Chiefs set to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road. However, it appears that there will be seldom chance of the loved-up pair sitting down to watch Swift’s favorite Christmas move – “Love Actually” – over the holidays.
After a suggestion from the wife of Jason Kelce that the brothers review the 2003 classic for their Film Club review series, Travis was quick to shut down the prospect on the latest “New Heights” podcast. Kylie Kelce called in to suggest: “‘Love Actually’ is a tremendous movie that you can really sit down with your significant others and enjoy.
“Because its not like one of your significant others hasnt asked you to watch it multiple times and you said no every time,” she continued, as she made the proposal to her husband and his younger sibling, saying: “So this would be a great excuse to get you to watch it.
However, Jason appeared to not know the film, remarking: “Love Actually?” , while Travis seemed to be hoping to avoid watching it himself too, adding: “Yeah, dont f——- torture me; torture your husband. Im an innocent bystander here, Ky. Dont f——- come for me.

At that point Jason then was eager to set the record straight as he clarfied: “I think we can both probably agree were not doing Love Actually, as Travis added: “Yeah, probably not. Ill do like a really good Christmas movie, though.”
Afterwards, the Chiefs tight end made reference to meeting “Love Actually” actor Hugh Grant previously, with the pair having crossed paths over the summer – enjoying tequilla shots together. Recalling this encounter, he said: “Ive watched, like, two or three movies with Hugh in it since [meeting him] and I f——- Iove all of them.
“Theres something about knowing the guy, man. I never said we wouldnt enjoy the movie, I just said I dont wanna review it.”
Referring to this meeting, Grant said X in June: “Dear @taylorswift13, You have an incredible show, an amazing and v hospitable team and excellent if gigantic boyfriend (#tequilashots.). Thanks so much from one ageing London boy, wife and thrilled 8 year old #halfgirlhalfbracelet.”
