Football fans took to social media to applaud rising country star Shaboozey’s halftime performance during the Thanksgiving game between the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears.
Several NFL fans and halftime viewers took to social media to praise Shaboozey after last year’s performance by Jack Harlow fell short while also trolling the Bears’ performance during the first half:
The Bears gained just seven yards in the first half of Thursday’s game, a stat that fans quickly noticed and joked about, pointing out that Shaboozey likely walked farther during his performance.
Entering halftime, the Lions held a 16-0 lead over the Lions, as Lions quarterback Jared Goff completed 14-of-24 passes for 145 yards and one touchdown. On the other end of the field, Caleb Williams completed 5-of-15 passes for 34 yards.
Despite the first-half outcome, all eyes were on Shaboozey as fans sung along to his hits “A Bar Song” and “Last of my Kind.”
