Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow turned heads off the field after reports surfaced that he purchased a replica Batmobile worth $3 million. As the Bengals quarterback remained cryptic about his rare acquisition, fans and commentators, including Joe Buck, question whether the deal is truly done.
Built to resemble Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight’ trilogy car, it was said to be one of 10 in existence. But during the middle of the Bengals-Cowboys broadcast, Buck shared his belief that Burrow has yet to have the car in his custody, although Burrow himself said he wouldn’t receive the vehicle until at least a year from its purchase date.
Buck couldn’t resist bringing up the Batmobile rumors during the second quarter, where the Cowboys held a three-point lead. He said that he asked Burrow, “If one were to own a Batmobile, where would one keep the Batmobile?” Burrow’s response was reportedly a laugh and a cryptic answer of, “Its kind of an ongoing negotiation.”

Buck later shared his thoughts with viewers, saying, “I don’t think he’s landed yet if he’s being honest with us. But he plays coy. He plays coy with the media, maybe he’s playing coy with us, but I dont think it’s a done deal yet.”
Burrow’s batmobile purchase was made public during an episode of Hard Knocks when he was talking to wide receiver targets Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. He even joked that he had also purchased an authentic Batsuit from the films, joking that he would wear it on gameday and Halloween.
The car’s reported details state that it is fully functional and has a 525 horsepower, 6.2-liter General Motors engine. It has replica machine gun drums that superhero fans immediately recognize, jet engine simulation features, and a cloaking system using smokescreens.
While the timing of the purchase was made public after the team underwent a three-game losing streak, Cincinnati broke the skid by defeating the Cowboys 27-20. The game saw both a normal broadcast and a unique simulcast set in the fictional city of Springfield, complete with licensed graphics and characters of The Simpsons.
Burrow completed 33 passes for 369 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception in the game. He tied the game with a 40-yard deep ball to Chase after the Cowboys attempted a fake punt, lost possession of the recovered ball, and turned it back over to the Bengals.
The Bengals improved to a 5-8 record but remain in third place in the AFC North behind the division-leading Pittsburgh Steelers [10-3] and Baltimore Ravens [8-5.] Four of the team’s five wins have been on the road, with their lone home win coming in Week 9 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
