Justin Rose has offered a sneak peek into what golf fans can expected from Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s soon-to-be-launched golf league TGL.

Rose is among several PGA Tour players on the TGL roster, representing Los Angeles Golf Club alongside Colin Morikawa, Sahith Theegala, and fellow Brit Tommy Fleetwood. This new venture marks another shift in the dynamic world of professional golf, with the league set to take place in an indoor stadium.

As the inaugural week of TGL draws nearer, Rose tested out the state-of-the-art simulator, sharing a swing clip with his followers on X after visiting the league’s Florida base.

Rose, along with his LA teammates, was at the SoFi Center, posting a photo of the indoor simulator with the caption: “Really great day @TGL with Team @WeAreLAGC. Can’t wait for the first match in January…” Rose joined the LA roster earlier this year. “I am excited to become a part of Los Angeles Golf Club,” he said in January.

“From the very beginning, I was drawn to the Club’s commitment to their fans and their impact focus in the Los Angeles community. We are mission and vision aligned and I’m thrilled to be joining LAGC.” Rose’s first fixture with TGL is set to happen in the second week of the 2025 season.

His Los Angeles team will face off against Jupiter Links G.C. on January 14, a team led by league founder Tiger Woods. There were initial doubts about Woods’ participation in the simulator league’s launch due to his ongoing battle with injury.

The 82-time PGA Tour winner has been grappling with a lower back issue, which required surgery in September. “The surgery went smoothly and I’m hopeful this will help alleviate the back spasms and pain I was experiencing throughout most of the 2024 season,” he stated at the time.

“I look forward to tackling this rehab and preparing myself to get back to normal life activities, including golf.” However, his comeback hit a snag last month when the 48 year old confirmed he would not be competing at this week’s Hero World Challenge, the event he had marked for his return.

Despite this, Woods is still present in the Bahamas and gave an update on his condition on Tuesday. “I’m not physically ready yet to compete at this level. I’m just not sharp enough to compete against these guys at his level. When I’m ready to compete I will play.” He later told Sports Illustrated that he anticipates being fit for TGL, but conceded that if the launch were this week, he would struggle to participate.
