Terry Bradshaw found himself being the butt of the jokes on FOX NFL Sunday, with the 76-year-old finding the funny side of one particular dig aimed at him.
Bradshaw had been on the desk alongside the main crew of analysts on Sunday – host Curt Menefee, Howie Long, Michael Strahan and Rob Gronkowski. But they were also joined by Tom Brady and Julian Edelman prior to the first slate of games. Much of the conversation had been towards the guests of Brady and Edelman throughout the show, with the legendary quarterback impressing in the studio while fielding questions from Bradshaw and his fellow co-hosts.
Prior to going into previewing the games on, FOX ran a video on ‘NFL’s unexplained mysteries’ on the weirder storylines this season – such as Justin Tucker missing so many kicks and Russell Wilson and Sam Darnold’s resurgences.
- Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift weighing up $7.5m decision to tell story of relationship
- Pittsburgh Steelers make Russell Wilson statement for 2025 with Justin Fields decision looming
Toward the end of the video, an individual in a laboratory whitecoat who had been discussing and explaining some of the aforementioned mysteries then stated: “I had it easier explaining the theory of relativity to Terry Bradshaw…he thought it had something to do with his cousins!”
The cameras then panned to Bradshaw laughing, along with the fellow co-hosts on the show before Menefee said: “Bradshaw catching strays, that’s not right!”
Bradshaw, 76, has been with the FOX Sports as a mainstay since 1994 and has long been a beloved analyst, after retiring from his Hall of Fame career as a quarterback with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Bradshaw saw the funny side in the skit
In recent weeks, rumors have emerged that he could be retiring at the end of the season, recently admitting that he has had a few mental blips due to his age. In a recent interview with Business Traveler USA, Bradshaw said: “I don’t like people to be upset with me. I like people to like me.”
And on the Jimmy Kimmel show in November, Bradshaw said: “If I can keep my health together, I love what I’m doing. But we all get old and we’re going to get kicked out. I’m not looking over my shoulder, but [Tom] Brady is coming in for $37.5m. I thought it was good [on Brady’s arrival] then I thought it was bad, because they won’t have any money for me and Howie. It is what it is.”
