In his first season as an NFL broadcaster, Tom Brady has gone through a learning experience as he continues to get more comfortable in his role. On Sunday, Brady got the call of the Rams vs. Bills game, and the former quarterback faced yet another new challenge in his post-playing career.
Throughout the game, Brady’s voice was clearly not at 100 percent, as his commentary was noticeably rough and scratchy. There were a handful of times when Brady had to try and clear his throat mid-commentary to just make it through his thought.
As much as he tried, Brady couldn’t hide his voice issues from the audience, and many viewers commented on what they were hearing during the game.

What’s wrong with Tom Brady’s voice during Bills-Rams game?
During the call of Bills-Rams on Sunday, Fox broadcaster Tom Brady’s voice was clearly compromised. The former quarterback sounded raspy throughout the game, as he struggled to get through commentary at times in the broadcast.
Unfortunately for Brady, fans who were watching noticed that he was having issues with his voice.
Neither Brady nor Fox has commented on his voice issues yet, so it’s likely the broadcaster is either a little under the weather or simply suffering from a sudden case of laryngitis that got increasingly worse during the game, much like what happened to Amazon pregame host Ryan Fitzpatrick earlier this season.
Luckily for Brady, this is just one game, and he will have a week of recovery before broadcasting another game next weekend.
