Aaron Rodgers seemingly confirmed his intention to remain a New York Jet by admitting he renovated his home in Jersey.
The quarterback’s time in New York has not gone according to plan with his first season seeing him ruled out with an Achilles injury while his second has resulted in the team currently holding a record of 3-9.
The Jets’ week 13 loss to the Seattle Seahawks last week meant they’ve now had nine consecutive losing seasons, which continues the longest active streak in the NFL.

- ‘I was named the greatest NFL player of all time – but I think someone else is the GOAT’
Rodgers has so far failed in his attempt to lead the Jets to a first playoff appearance since 2010 but despite the lack of success in his first two seasons in New York, he remains dedicated to the cause.
While he is 41 years of age, the NFL icon admitted that he plans to spend several years with the Jets and he has now renovated the home he purchased when he was traded to the team in 2023 from the Green Bay Packers.
“I just redid my house here in Jersey,” Rodgers said. “My goal was to play a few more years here. We’ll see I’d like to be healthy, I’d like to end on my feet. I’d like to play well and feel like I’m wanted back. If not, I will not be offended, I won’t be upset. I’ll be so thankful either way whatever happens here.”

Rodgers’ recent stance came after reports claiming that he wanted out of New York, which he put straight during his weekly appearance on ESPN’s ‘The Pat McAfee Show’. “I haven’t told anybody in my life, ‘I want to play in 2025 and not in the Jets,'” he told the former NFL punter last month.
“That’s 100 per cent false. I actually said the opposite. I said that I’m going to wait and see what happens at the end of the season and if they want me back. I’ve really enjoyed my time in New York. Obviously, we haven’t had the success we’ve all wanted to have but I’ve made some great friendships in the team.
“I’ve enjoyed living in Jersey, I’ve enjoyed the time in the city, I’ve enjoyed getting to know the fans. And I came here to win here so I’m not jumping off ship like, ‘I definitely want to play and not in New York.’ I don’t know if I want to play yet, but New York would be my first option.”
Rodgers will return to action on Sunday (December 8) with the Jets looking for their first win in four games as they travel to Florida to take on the Miami Dolphins.
