Snoop Dogg’s daughter Cori Broadus has given birth and shared a candid social media post about her experience becoming a first-time mom.
The 25-year-old took to Instagram to announce her new arrival, who was born three months early. In a joint post with her fiancé Wayne Deuce, Cori shared a black and white snap of her daughter’s foot.
“The princess arrived at 6 months. I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself that I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed. But no matter what God always shows me that I’m His Child,” she wrote in the caption.
Cori added, “Baby girl came at 25 weeks today and shes perfect as ever! Thank You God for getting me this far no matter the odds that are constantly thrown against me.”
She then shared more information about the birth on her Instagram Stories, revealing she had a C-section. Cori shared a picture of herself on a hospital bed, with a blue sheet separating the top half of her body from the bottom half.
“First c-section was a success 🙂 shout out to the man up above,” she captioned the post. In a second post, she wrote, “Got to the doctors yesterday thinking I just had a bad case of gas.. whole time I was developing “HELLP SYNDROME,” which is very severe and can even cause death if untreated.”
HELLP stands for Hemolysis, Elevated Liver enzymes and Low Platelets and is a variant of preeclampsia. Cori continued, “Doctors told me thank you for coming and if I would’ve waited a few more days it would’ve been really bad.”
She then urged her followers to “please listen to your bodies and don’t believe everything you see on TIK TOK.” Fans have been congratulating Cori on the birth of her daughter.
“Congrats Love! and you are sooo sooo blessed! My grandson was born at 27 weeks and he just turn 5 last week! God is with you and your bundle of joy!” one person gushed.
Someone else added, “Awww she is covered and blessed and will be just fine congrats on your new blessing,” while a third follower commented, “But you are and will continue to give her all she needs!! CONGRATULATIONS beautiful!”
Cori’s latest joy comes after she suffered a frightening health scare at the start of 2024. She revealed she had suffered a stroke, speaking about the news from her hospital bed.
Taking to social media, Cori said she was in tears when doctors informed her about the stroke. “I had a severe stroke this a.m. I started breaking down crying when they told me. Like I’m only 24, what did I do in my past to deserve all of this,” she wrote.
Cori was also diagnosed with lupus when she was just six years old. Lupus is a disease where the body’s immune system attacks its own tissues and organs, which can increase the risk of a stroke.
