Breaking News: Christian Pulisic Future Decided as Liverpool and Man United Circle USMNT Star.Cau

Christian Pulisic’s future with AC Milan has been solidified, if those around the Italian club are to be believed.

The American star has had a resurgent season playing in Milan after a less-than-stellar stint with Chelsea when he battled injuries and inconsistent performances at Stamford Bridge. The change of scenery has benefitted the 26-year-old greatly, with the winger scoring five goals with four assists in 14 matches this season.

In all competitions, Pulisic has eight goals and six assists in total. Because of how he has played, many clubs in the Premier League have their sights set on the American, though it appears that the Italian side is in no rush to part ways with Pulisic, despite the increased interest.

Sky Sports’ Gianluca Di Marzio made it clear that Milan’s bosses will not be entertaining any offers for the American in the near future. “It is normal that clubs are interested in Pulisic, because he is the best player at AC Milan, but the club is not planning to sell him,” he said in response to interest from Liverpool and Manchester United, among other clubs.

“They are trying to find players to reinforce the club, not to sell players, and especially not Pulisic.” Currently, AC Milan sit in seventh in Serie A, winning only six of the 14 matches the club has played up to this point.

After five Champions League games, Milan is in 16th, sitting above Manchester City and Real Madrid. Still, Di Marzio emphasized why Milan would want to keep Pulisic, especially considering the 26-year-old means more to the club than just being the side’s best player so far this season.

“He is the best-performing player in the team, and the club is USA property, also with the chairman, so they also have him as a symbol,” Di Marzio deduced. “They will never sell him, even though everything is about receiving the right offer. But they are not planning to sell him.”

Milan’s stance on Pulisic echoes what club legend and operating partner Zlatan Ibrahimovic said about the American star. During an appearance on ESPN’s ‘First Take,’ Ibrahimovic explained how he expected Pulisic to continue to grow after an impressive first season with the club in 2023.

“I think he had the best season of his career with us last year,” the Swede said on the program, according to Sky Sports. “If you’re happy off the pitch, then you bring him onto the pitch. He had a wonderful year, he scored a lot of goals and provided assists.

“He felt free, he came to us and showed himself for what he is. I expect him to be able to do even more this season and to grow as a leader: We’re a young team, we need him.”

However, it appeared as if the injury bug bit the star again as 38 minutes into a matchup against Bergamo, Pulisic fell to the ground holding his left leg. Though manager Paulo Fonseca said Pulisic sustained a minor calf strain, his absence could have a more profound impact as the leader.

“The loss of Christian can be a bit gut-wrenching for Milan because hes been the most in-form player this season in a Milan jersey,” analyst Ian Joy told CBS Sports Golazo. “He didnt look like he wanted to continue, so it must have been something serious to have wanted to go off.”
