After missing a few weeks with a heel contusion, Lakers rookie Bronny James is off the inactive list and back on the court.
James returned to the court Saturday for G League action as the South Bay Lakers hosted the San Diego Clippers. He turned in his best game to date as a pro, finishing with 16 points, four rebounds, and four assists in 21 minutes. Sunday, he’ll return to Crypto.com Arena to suit up for Los Angeles as it welcomes Portland to town.
The Lakers’ return to Los Angeles could not come at a better time. They’ll look to get back on track after going 1-3 on a four-game road trip. Bronny James will likely suit up for L.A. as it looks to right the ship. Whether or not he sees action remains to be seen.
As James looks to build on an impressive showing in the G League, The Sporting News will track his performance in Sunday’s game against the Trail Blazers.

James did not enter the game in the first half. With Los Angeles pulling away late, James logged two minutes late in the fourth quarter. He took two shots, but didn’t make either. James was able to block a shot.
