When the Cowboys host the Bengals on Monday Night Football, ESPN will be offering fans a new viewing experience. The network will broadcast “The Simpsons Funday Football,” an animated broadcast of the game, as Homer Simpson will represent the Cowboys with Bart representing the Bengals.
The broadcast will be treated like a normal game, and ESPN will have a few of its best analysts broadcasting the game as animated characters. The game will then play out with Simpsons characters mimicking the movements of players on the field, and the voices from the show will also take part in this broadcast.

Who is calling the NFL Simpsons broadcast on ESPN?
ESPN announced that Drew Carter will serve as the play-by-play announcer for the Simpsons broadcast of Bengals-Cowboys, with Mina Kimes and Dan Orlovsky doing color commentary. All three will appear on the broadcast as animated Simpsons versions of themselves.
Carter has been with ESPN since 2021, broadcasting games for college football, college basketball, and college lacrosse, among other sports. However, his primary job is as the Celtics’ play-by-play broadcaster. He’s in his first season working full-time for NBC Sports Boston taking over for Mike Gorman.
Meanwhile, Kimes and Orlovsky are two of ESPN’s most popular NFL analysts, but ESPN also describes them as “Simpsons enthusiasts.” The broadcast crew will be in ESPN’s studio in Bristol broadcasting the game.
Additionally, ESPN will air pre-recorded videos involving Stephen A. Smith, Peyton Manning, and Eli Manning, and players from both teams have also assisted in creating segments for the broadcast.

“The Simpsons Funday Football” will air on Disney+, ESPN+, and NFL+ (on mobile devices), as the main broadcast will be on ESPN while the ManningCast will air on ESPN2. All three telecasts will begin at 8:00 p.m. ET.
