Terry Bradshaw struggled through a series of senior moments as he stumbled over his words multiple times during the halftime highlight segment for the 4 pm NFL games.
The 76-year-old has already had a series of problems reading from the teleprompter this year. Bradshaw made his first mistake when discussing the Chicago Bears–San Francisco 49ers game. “21-0, all 49ers,” with the score reading 24-0. He then added: “[The] 49ers are hangin’ in there, trying to make the playoffs, [this is] a much-needed victory for them.”
Fox host Curt Menefeee chimed in to correct his fellow panelist. “Well it’s only at halftime, 24-0 though, but yes!” he said. Then, the former NFL quarterback badly butchered Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet’s name by saying “Zach Cabernet” to a chorus of laughter from the rest of the FOX set.

Following his highly successful playing career where he won four Super Bowls and took home the 1978 NFL MVP, Bradshaw joined CBS Sports in 1984.
The veteran broadcaster switched to FOX in 1994 and has remained a mainstay of the network ever since. While his salary is not public, it’s projected he earns around $2 million a year.
Many took to X expressing how it may be time for Bradshaw to put his TV career to bed. “Terry Bradshaw just said that the 49ers just got ‘a much-needed victory today.’ The game is not even at halftime yet. Someone, please take him off the air. He’s just not there anymore. It’s time,” one fan remarked.

To be fair to Bradshaw, the slumping 49ers did earn a much-needed victory over the hapless Bears. San Francisco entered the contest on a three-game losing streak and the team is still saddled with a plethora of injuries.
Charbonnet was on his way to the best game of his two-year NFL career. The 2023 second-round pick out of UCLA topped 100+ rushing yards for the first time and added two touchdowns on the ground.
Bradshaw’s gaffes were far from the first stumble this season for the 76-year-old. He read off the wrong teleprompter during a halftime segment back in October. “Nick Chubb is back from his knee injury suffered in week two of last year but it’s Deshaun – whoops, wrong one,” he said while referencing speaking over a Buffalo Bills highlight.
“This is Amari Cooper for Buffalo getting the touchdown. His Bills debut, Buffalo rolling past Tennessee 34-10 in the final there,” Menefee chimed in to correct his co-panelist.
