Over the course of his 23-year tenure with the Patriots, Belichick guided the side to six Super Bowls, received three AP Coach of the Year awards, was named in both the 2000s and 2010s All-Decade Teams, and was named in the NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team. As for his life away from the gridiron, that has taken a major turn in recent months.

Belichick has been dating Hudson since his break-up from Linda Holliday – a girlfriend of 16 years – last year. Their relationship garnered attention recently when fans discovered that 24-year-old Hudson is 48 years younger than Belichick, 72.

The two reportedly first met on a flight in February 2021 when they were seated next to one another during a trip from Boston to Florida – with TMZ reporting that Belichick signed one of Hudson’s textbooks at the time, allegedly writing: “Thanks for giving me a course on logic!”

While neither Belichick nor Hudson addressed a relationship, the two were spotted together throughout 2023 – sharing snaps together on social media. They were seen walking through the New Orleans French Quarter in January last year, as well as enjoying dinner in the city in September. Their relationship was confirmed in June 2024.

While little remains known about Hudson, she was a cheerleader during her time at Bridgewater State University, claiming the 2021 NCA Collegiate Championship. She pursued a job in cheerleading after graduating, joining the East Celebrity Elite cheer squad and competing with the squad in February to go onto the World Championships.

It is rumored that Belichick splashed out $75,000 on a white Porsche Macan S for Hudson when she arrived at the East Celebrity Elite Hingham Cheer Gym in Massachusetts for cheerleading practice earlier this year, also turning up to Brady’s Hall of Fame induction at the Gillette Stadium in the same car.

Meanwhile, the pair were snapped in Nantucket, Massachusetts, wearing identical rings on their index fingers for the 4th of July celebrations as they rode bicycles together. The two stopped multiple times to take in the island’s scenery, as well as sitting together under trees adorned with American flags staked into the grass. Elsewhere, the two visited the Sankaty Head Lighthouse.

It was also reported in October that Belichick was spotted browsing around 20 different shops in New York and LA for the perfect engagement ring for Hudson, according to The Sun, who say that the former Patriots coach has been contemplating a proposal for months.

It is also reported that he is down to two choices in terms of the perfect ring, and is planning a romantic vacation to the French Riviera, Italy and Croatia with Hudson.

Hudson was on the receiving end of another joke after she opted to dress up as Belichick for Halloween this year, with 17-year NFL QB-turned-analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick taking precision aim at the age gap between the youngster and her beau. Photos of Hudson sporting Belichick’s iconic cut-off hoodie and shorts surfaced online as a nod to his incredibly unique look, and Fitzpatrick couldn’t help but take to X to share: “For all you 48-year-old hopeless romantics out there, just think your future person may not even be born yet.”

His pun received more than 30,000 impressions within hours, with a number of social media users praising his quick wit and creativity. While Hudson didn’t lower herself to responding to the message, she simply posted a heart on a comment from a supportive fan who defended her, explaining that she is “of legal age” and “able to make her own decisions”.

Wowing on the red carpet

Belichick was spotted alongside Hudson on the red carpet at the American Museum of Natural History gala in New York on Thursday, Belichick wearing a traditional tux, while Hudson showed off a thigh-high matching black dress. The event itself featured a performance by Arcade Fire, while stars like Scarlett Johansson and Alec Baldwin were also in attendance.
